Where It All Started

Back in 2014, three lawyers sat in a cramped office on Bay Street and decided they'd had enough of the old-school way of doing things. We wanted to build something different - a firm that actually gets what modern businesses need.

2014 - The Beginning

Three frustrated lawyers left BigLaw to create something that didn't feel like a legal factory. Started with one client who took a chance on us.

What We Actually Stand For

Not the usual corporate mumbo-jumbo. These are the things we won't compromise on.

Straight Talk

We'll tell you what you need to hear, not what you wanna hear. Sometimes the honest answer is "this is a bad idea."

Too many lawyers dance around the truth. We've found that clients actually appreciate when you're upfront about risks, costs, and realistic outcomes from day one.

Move Fast

Business moves quickly. Legal advice that shows up three weeks late might as well not show up at all.

We've built our systems around speed. Most urgent questions get answered same-day. Documents get turned around in days, not weeks. Because deals don't wait.

Own Your Mistakes

Screwed something up? We'll fix it. No finger-pointing, no burying it in billable hours.

Everyone makes mistakes. What separates good firms from mediocre ones is how they handle it. We eat our errors and make them right, period.

Fair Billing

No padding hours. No charging you for us to learn something. You pay for value, not for timesheets.

The billable hour model is broken. We do flat fees when it makes sense, cap our rates on projects, and never charge you for inefficiency on our end.

The Climb So Far

Every step up was earned the hard way.

2014
Founded in a Cramped Office

Started with 3 partners, 1 paralegal, and way too much coffee. First year revenue: enough to keep the lights on.

2016
First Major Deal

Closed a $45M acquisition for a tech startup. Word started getting around that we knew what we were doing.

2018
Moved to King Street

Upgraded to proper offices. Team grew to 12. Started specializing in what we're really good at.

2021
Won That Big Case

Marcus pulled off what everyone said was unwinnable. $120M verdict. That one put us on the map for real.

2023
Named Top Corporate Firm

Canadian Lawyer Magazine ranked us in top 10 for corporate law. Not bad for the underdogs.

2026
Still Climbing

22 lawyers now. Working with some of Canada's fastest-growing companies. And we're just getting started.

The Hardware We've Collected

Look, we're not gonna pretend awards are everything, but they don't hurt either.
